These double-ended french style bobbins are a new development from our bobbin maker, artist and musical instrument maker Andrew Dickinson, made to a high level of quality, precision and finish.
Each bobbin is 8.5cm long and made to carry weft but not to beat down. These double-ended bobbins are ideal for working on tapestries where large numbers of wefts need to be worked with at once.
Five different woods are used in the making of these bobbins Padauk, Ebony, Olive, Lemonwood, Mopane and Kingwood and the bobbins are supplied randomly selected from these.
These do not have holes in the top for putting on winders
Please note due to import regulations orders sent to the US will not include Kingwood bobbins
Handy Usage Tip: These bobbins work well for carrying sewing thread when sewing slits as you weave.
