Trees and Landscape Weaving Workshop by Zoom Sessions

This is a workshop taught over Zoom to create your own unique textural mini-weaving, ready to hang on the wall.
It involves two separate 2 hour zoom sessions with the tutor Jackie Bennett which are a week apart to give participants time to absorb the tution and work at their own pace. These two linked sessions will take place on the 29th October 2023 and the 5th November 2023 at 2.00pm to 4.00pm each day
The course cost includes all materials needed which will be posted out to candidates in advance of the course.
Students will warp and weave on a small wooden frame provided in the kit of materials sent out to participants. Jackie will teach needle weaving, knotting, soumak technique and other textural effects to aplly to the materials provided. she will also look at a variety of ways to finish off your weaving – or you can hang the frame directly on a wall.
This course is suitable for complete beginners and those with some weaving experience. Weaving materials and equipment are provided, including a wide range of weaversbazaar yarns.
You will need a laptop, tablet or PC set up for Zoom to participate
Participants will also need small scissors, an old dining fork, a 30cm ruler and a pencil. PVA or fabric glue (optional). A desk or table and chair situated in a well-lit area.
About the Tutor
